DreamWorks Theatricals


DreamWorks Theatricals, a division of Universal Theatrical Group, was established to develop and produce live stage productions inspired by the studio’s acclaimed animated films, including Shrek The Musical, Madagascar and The Prince of Egypt. UTG, the live theatre division of Universal Pictures, is currently represented by the musical phenomenon Wicked, which has been seen by 60 million people worldwide, making it one of the most successful theatrical ventures of all time. Michael McCabe is an independent, four-time Olivier Award-winning theatre producer in the UK and Tony Award-nominated on Broadway. West End: Wicked (Olivier Audience Awards, 2010 and 2015), which is already the 9th longest running West End musical of all time; An American in Paris (Olivier Award nomination for Best Musical); Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival and Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Musical); Million Dollar Quartet and Spring Awakening (Olivier Award for Best Musical and Critics’ Circle Award for Best Musical). Neil Laidlaw Productions is a theatrical producing and general management company headed up by Neil Laidlaw.

Most recently, NLP was represented in the West End as producer of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin (Harold Pinter). He was also co-producer of Long Day’s Journey Into Night (Wyndham’s); The Grinning Man (Trafalgar Studios); Annie (Piccadilly); Oslo (Harold Pinter); Show Boat (New London); Gypsy (Savoy) and A Doll’s House (Duke of York’s, BAM, New York). NLP also acted as general manager for Catherine Schreiber Productions on the UK premiere of The Scottsboro Boys (Young Vic).

John Gore is a 13-time Tony winning and triple Emmy nominated British producer.
